WATER RESTRICTIONS

Effective year round, all
Trophy Club
water customers
are expected to comply with
Mandatory Water Conservation measures. No watering between
10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.,
unless by hand or soaker hose.

STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTIONS GO INTO EFFECT
MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 2011

Due to extreme drought conditions, Trophy Club will implement Stage 1 water restrictions effective on Monday, August 29, 2011. Violation of the water restrictions may result in a fine up to $2,000.

Reservoirs managed by TRWD - which supplies Fort Worth's raw water - dipped to 75 percent this week triggering mandatory conservation for all water district customers. Stage 1 restrictions seek to reduce water use by 5 percent.

Outdoor watering is limited to the following twice-a-week schedule and includes the year-round restrictions of no watering between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., no watering hard surfaces, no watering during precipitation and no watering with missing or broken sprinkler heads.

Stage 1 Watering Schedule

MONDAY
No watering allowed

TUESDAY & FRIDAY
Non-residential locations (apartments, businesses, parks, common areas, etc.)

WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY
Residential addresses ending in an even number (2,4,6,8,0)

THURSDAY & SUNDAY
Residential addresses ending in an odd number (1,3,5,7,9)

Water may not run off a lawn or yard more than 50 feet. Foundations may be watered up to two hours on any day by hand, soaker hose or with drip irrigation placed within 24 inches of the foundation.

Exceptions to restrictions:

  • Establishing new turf is discouraged. If hydromulch, grass sod or grass seed has been installed, watering is allowed for the first 30 days to establish roots. After that, the twice-a-week schedule applies.
  • All users are encouraged to reduce the frequency of draining and refilling swimming pools.
  • Washing any motorized vehicle is limited to a handheld bucket or a handheld hose equipped with a positive-pressure shutoff nozzle for quick rinses.
  • Vehicle washing may be done at any time at a commercial car wash or service station.
  • Supervised testing, repair or maintenance of a sprinkler system is an exception to allow water to run more than 50 feet away from the property.
